  1. Mr. Ericksen,

Quite frankly I'm not sure what post I should post this question to you but it is something I want to discuss with you. Maybe you can shed some light on what is going on with the city. Every where you go you see all the campaign signs and we should all know by now that we are in an election cycle for the city of Palm Coast. I am not a voter, but someone in my neighborhood brought this to my attention.

I could not help but notice everytime I turned down my block, the corner house has a Vote Jon Netts yard sign. Four houses down on my right was a Charles Ericksen sign. I was told that code enforcement took away the Charles Ericksen sign. However, the John Netts sign is still sitting on the corner house, inches from the street. Code enforcement claimed that the Charles Ericksen sign was in violation of the city ordinance.

If you were the incumbent and were running for re-election, would you order your code enforement to pluck off your opponent's yard signs? What happened to freedom of speech? Or does that only apply when the incumbent has the power.

This is the reason why I don't vote. However, I am now considering it.

By the way, I like the way you answer the people on this site. Shows that you got some tranparency going on. I like that.

  2. Thank you for taking the time to write. This is not the first, nor last note unfortunately that I will receive on lost signs. It started with a 4 foot by 4 foot sign missing and has now added about 8 yard signs..Code enforcement has denied removing signs, but the truth is coming out. The only way to stop this silliness, is TO VOTE, and vote for some common sense and a new direction for Palm Coast. I want to lead that drive. The County Library on Palm Coast Parkway ? Belle Terre is where you can help me out.. Early voting is open now, Saturday this week, and Tuesday through Saturday next week 8:30-4:30 everyday.. Bring a friend with with you thanks and get out and vote..
